unique piece of pottery made with stoneware clay, using the coiling method which means it was built slowly, coil after coil. All the marks from the making process are meant to give the pots their unique character and wabi sabi aesthetic. After bisque firing the pots were then further decorated and prepared for the smoke firing. Smoke firing is a method to decorate ceramics with smoke, handed to us by our ancestors from various parts of the world. For this smoke firing the pots was placed in an aluminium foil saggar with combustibles and fired hot enough for the combustibles to burn and give them their unique color. In the final stage the pots are cleaned and sealed with beeswax. For decorative use only Cannot hold liquids Hand was with mild soap and soft sponge.
