This lovely piece of milk glass was called a Franklin Urn in the Fostoria Glass catalogues. With an openwork lid and foot, this decorative piece may have been used for potpourri, arranging flowers or as a candy dish. Measures about 9 inches high, 8 1/2 inches wide, 5 1/2 inches deep. Unmarked, circa 1960. Overall good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There are a couple tiny dark spots and some swirling in the glass–see detail images. A vintage Fostoria glass American Art Deco vase, designed by George Sakier, TUT #2288, peach color (have also heard it called amber), with a flower and leaf design. I don’t know the correct term for the floral design (etched or cut?). I can feel the small ridges of the lines in the pattern. NOTE: please read the condition description below. Circa early 1900s. Just under 8 ½” tall. Good weight to the glass. Very good vintage condition with minimal small scratches or wear in accordance with its vintage age. There is one small spot on the rim (in the middle of one side) that feels like it could be either a small chip, or it’s an original flaw or depression in the glass. It’s smooth to the touch and not rough or sharp like a chip sometimes is. I tried to capture it in a closeup photo but it was difficult to get a good image. Please examine the photos closely for details and condition. Due to PC intensity and camera flash reflection the colors and brightness of any item may vary on each computer.
