La créatrice Paola Navone a pour habitude de s’inspirer de ses voyages et de son goût pour la culture d’autres pays pour élaborer de nouveaux projets. Avec Fish & Fish, elle s’intéresse aux articles produits pendant la grande dépression des années 30 aux Etats-Unis. C’est à Sandwich, Massachusetts, que se développe pendant ces années de crise une vaisselle utilitaire en verre moulé, qui revêt principalement 3 couleurs : vert jade (Jadéite), transparent (Depression glass) et blanc (Milk glass). Bon marché, résistante et bien conçue, cette verrerie très répandue dans les foyers américains de 1930 à 1950 est aujourd’hui prisée de nombre de collectionneurs. Paola Navone lui redonne vie avec cette collection ‘Fish & Fish’, qui se décline en assiettes, verres, bocaux, carafes, plats, plateaux et accessoires, le tout en forme de poisson et estampillé ‘Herring bar’. On aime cette collection ludique, rétro et ultra moderne à la fois.

Can be used for flowers or as an artificial aquarium, if you can not have the real one 🙂 Painted by hand with water and sun resistant transparent paints in stained glass technique Dimensions of this vase are 10*6,7in (26*17 cm). It may be used with stand or without it. I use only high quality paints based on organic solvents. They are weather resistant which means they are not afraid of water, sun and cold temperature. This one of a kind and totally unique piece began with a piece of a wood root and then a skilled artisan, who has a love and an eye for the art of glass blowing, begins blowing the molten glass onto the shape of the root glass begins to flow and cradling the form of the wood, until the artisans makes it into a glass vessel that can be filled with items of your own imagination. No two pieces are alike because of the variances in the wood and we can only show you a picture of what some have looked like and you get a bit of a surprise, and delight, when yours arrives. The hand blown glass is made of 100% recycled materials. The bowl can be used as a terrarium or a vase, and some like to use it for a fish bowl. However you put this wonderful piece in action, you are going to receive rave reviews. We are showing you some pictures of what others have done with their sculptures. The bowl will come wrapped on top of the teak wood root, just unwrap it and place it onto the wood and it will fit right in place.
